Took Posie for a nice long hike today up at Birch Hill, on the drive we noticed the all too familiar John Deere sign....but the Alaskan version :)

A long 48 hours

Hi hi hi :)

So yesterday I spent the day with Zach and we went shooting at the range all morning and then hung out by the Chena River....it was fantastic and I love Alaska even more now!

Today I kayaked with some friends down the Chena River all the way to work.

This ride usually takes between 3 and 4 hours I've been told, and today it took no more than an hour and a half.....current is strong!!

That was the most paddling done all day I'd say!

And I swear, I can sleep anywhere :)

I went with Anita (who was behind the camera for these pictures), Karina, Melanie, Scott, Matt, and Bella :)

The Pepper Spray Epiphany

I have met a good amount of people while in Alaska so far, but Andy and Yancy are the icing on the cake. I was so excited that they thought of me and got me some Pepper Spray!

Not just any Pepper Spray, Mugger Fogger is over 200% stronger than your average joe pepper spray...this is the real shit right here :)

Santa's House.....it's real!

Lets start by saying I'm a dumby...I thought I was sick for the past three days. Nope, just insane allergies.

I made homemade strawberry rhubarb ice cream this morning, its delicious! Just saying :)

Then we adventured to the North Pole to go see Santa's House. I kid you not, everything in the North Pole is candy cane designed. Considering I ate reindeer kielbasa today, I felt pretty bad upon seeing reindeer in Santa's backyard. Oh well!

Then we went to the Chena River Flood plains....it was so expanse that I felt like I was on a green screen somehow. Incredible.

The plural for Moose is Moose.

My job is pie and my coworkers are awesome....summer will be amazing :)

After going to a ladies night last night I went to a barbecue tonight.

As I am in the midst of my first savory bite of a moose burger, 2 moose are crossing the river behind me....oh the irony :)
